What Is Hypnosis?

A natural state of focus you already know

You stay aware and in charge the whole time

Lone tree silhouetted against a glowing sunrise
Hand gently holding an ivory feather in soft light
Person with arms open standing on calm water at sunset

Come as you are, with whatever questions you are carrying

Understanding hypnosis

Hypnosis is a natural, focused state of mind, and you've already been there many times. It's that feeling of getting lost in a good book, drifting into a daydream, or floating in the dreamy space just before you fall asleep.

In hypnosis, the busy, analytical part of your mind settles down. That opens easier access to your subconscious, where your deeper beliefs, memories and inner wisdom live. It's a calm, relaxed place where you can explore and receive insight in your own way.

How it works

I guide you into deep relaxation with my voice and gentle focus. As your body relaxes, your brainwaves naturally slow from the busy beta state of everyday life into alpha and theta, the same states linked with meditation and intuition. These slower states are where new perspectives can take root. Research on neuroplasticity shows the brain keeps forming new connections throughout life, which is part of why this work can feel so meaningful.

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes. Hypnosis is a safe, natural state. You stay aware the whole time and can open your eyes whenever you choose. Your mind always looks out for your safety, and nobody can make you say or do anything that goes against your values.

Hypnosis for spiritual exploration

In spiritual sessions, hypnosis becomes a doorway inward. The relaxed state quiets everyday chatter so you can hear the wiser, deeper parts of yourself. Whatever comes forward comes from you. My role is to guide you gently and hold the space while you explore.

A trusted practice

Physicians, dentists and psychologists have used hypnosis for decades, and the American Medical Association recognized it as a valid therapeutic tool back in 1958.
